Central State University provides programs and resources to help you make your health a priority. From on-site health screenings to online wellness tools, Central State has put resources in place so that you can achieve your personal health and fitness goals.

Looking for ways to save money and take care of your health?

Central State University cares about your health and wants to provide you with resources to help you live better both inside and outside of work. That’s why we offer a voluntary wellness program called Healthy Directions for all employees on the medical plan.

To get the wellness program off to an exciting start, we will be offering:

Premium discount beginning Jan. 1, 2019 simply by having your annual preventive physical with a primary care physician, completing a lab-test blood draw, signing a tobacco status affidavit and completing your Rally health assessment by Oct. 1. 2018. Visit the Wellness Room  

  • Free for CSU employees and available during regular hours of operation 
  • Located in the Stokes Center, near the Ransier Room (previously the IT office) 

Participate in the onsite Yoga Classes  

  • Free for CSU employees 
  • Wednesdays 12:30pm-1pm and 1pm-1:30pm in the Stokes Center, Ransier Room 

Participate in the onsite Cardio Toning Classes  

  • Free for CSU employees 
  • Fridays 12pm – 1pm in the Stokes Center, Ransier Room 

Have your blood pressure checked  

  • Free for CSU employees 
  • Stop by the Clinic in the Stokes Center

UHC Tools and Resources 

SimplyEngaged Health & Wellness Coaching

Professional health coaches from United Healthcare with degrees and certifications in health-related fields such as psychology, nutrition and health education help you identify health risk behaviors and suggest tactics and resources to support your health goals. Through collaboration and shared decision-making, the Health Coach works with you to create a personalized plan that evolves throughout the program. Health & Wellness Coaching can be delivered by telephone, the Internet and mail.

IMPACT Solutions Employee Assistance Program

CSU is pleased to offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) from a new provider- IMPACT Solutions. The IMPACT Employee Assistance (EAP) & Work/Life Program is a benefit available to you and your family offering access to confidential professional support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
